2000 GMC sierra problem.
Hi all, I have a slight problem with my gmc truck and dont really know how to diagnose the problem... It started 2 yrs ago, when you start the truck and try to go right away whether it is cold or been running for hrs it has a terrible hesitation from just off idle to just under full throttle. if you hit full throttle it goes like a *aped ape. After 30 secs to a couple of minutes, it runs normal like a new truck but until it comes out of it , it will buck and kick like it isnt getting any fuel. Any ideas would be appreciated.

You will want to start with testing the O2 sensor, throttle position sensor, clean the MAF and check the EGR. Also, how old is the fuel filter, not as likely the problem, but worth checking. Also test the coils, plug wires, and change the spark plugs if you don't know how old they are.

My 93 silverado was to the point to when i would start it it would stall then start again and be fine..replaced plugs wires cap/rotor....Then it would run sluggish when cold replaced the feul filter bam shes all good..but my truck has 243k on it it never bucked or kicked my guess would be a missfire of some sort a MAF possibly a feul filter
