WHY???
Hey everyone. It'* been a while since I had a real opinion based post. Since then I've sadly parted ways with my 02 SSEi in order to have lesser car payments while overseas. That still does not make me blind to what GM has done with Pontiac lately that bothers me.
A while ago we had talked about a possible supercharged or turbo charged rear wheel drive Bonny GXP that most of us would have went nuts for. We saw it along with some car expert reviewers, but for some strange reason, not GM. Instead they put that exact idea into the Seville for the STS-V making the price beyond the average guys'* dream of trying to sway the wifey. To add insult to injury, they put the more powerful V-8 in the Grand Prix. Furthermore, GM designed a mid sized G6 sedan with more interior space than the Bonny.
It seems to me like there were some GM/Pontiac designers who had it in for the Bonny. I had constantly emailed Pontiac years ago and conducted surveys with recommendations, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. Anyways, that'* my two cents I wanted to share. It'* pretty sad nowadays in the forum with nothing more than Bonneville memories now. At least my dad is keeping my old Bonny looking good still.

I typically stay out of this kind of thread as I feel there'* nothing to be gained but a rhetorical gripefest.
I would tend to think Monte owners felt the same way you did when the Monte disappeared for a few years. The Monte is back in a good way if you ask me...(specially after I drove Mike'* 5.3 DOD Monte)
To go even further...when a manufacturer redesigns the entire car..say like they did in 2000...what'* left besides the name? You'd expect features on any car of that level....
