I like mine cold to reduce wear and to hopefully prevent another intake failure. Thats about it. Mine hasn't reached over 190 since I wired the fans to run all the time (low speed). Always around 185. My tranny seems to shift better since I kept the engine at that temp.
Ah i know that if too cold you'll get more wear but it sounds good. L27 intake failure? Hrm, a rare thing, not impossbile but definetly not like the L36 failure...

I decided I am ordering my cooler friday. However should I get the 24000 GVW or the 19000 GVW? Also Should I stick with Valvoline maxlife or change it to something else when I do it? Advice please? Thanks.

Not sure off the top of my head. Just make sure it'* Thermatically Controlled too though.
Here'* another option that you might be able to adapt to a 94 H. It'* the GM factory Kit....

I am tight on money so the B&M is pretty much what I can afford, its 49 bucks. Its thermaly controlled too. Looks to be a good unit.

Default Update!!

Ordered the B&M Cooler today. I decided to go with the 19000GVW. Cost me 72 bucks. 49 for the cooler, 8 for some extra hose, and 10 for 2 day shipping. Bought it from my favorate place to shop - Jegs. Didn't have enough $$$ to buy my valve cover breather, so I will forget about that for now.

I didn't even think to look at Autozone. I did look at Advance and all they had was some cheap cooler that didn't look too great. No big deal. I didn't plan on intalling it till next weekend anyways. Bought my fluid and filter also today. I am going to do the works when I do the cooler. After this I am not going to do anything to my tranny other than check the fluid, until after next summer when I change the fluid again. Plan to change the fluid every year. I am an over-maintenance kinda person, change my oil every month, reguardless of mileage!!
