I was very happy with my L27 when I had it. I wish I still had that car now (along with my SSEi). It was very quick off the line, had enough power on the highway, and was fun to drive. I knew it wasn't the fastest car, but I was content knowing it was not the slowest, and knowing the engine would last forever, or until I didn't own it anymore. (I still have all the keys )

Well I had a 305 V8 previously so my SE is pretty fast compared to it. Like The Fake Canadian said, I'm happy knowing that I'm about in the middle, not the fastest or the slowest and it still can get 30+ on the highway

If you have never driven a supercharged car...the SE SLE are pretty fast...but if you have driven a SSEI or GTP or any other Bonneville with a supercharger...yeah the SE and SLE are slow.

I'm happy with my SE. It may not be as fast as some other cars out there, but she'll get up and go enough to make you feel it in your seat.

Nothing I have driven powered by aN/A 3800 was slow. Its a very peppy engine a flies around town. Just dont expect it to perform as well up to speed.

Coming from a done up 1979 Firebird Formula...my car is slow.
However it has better gas mileage and creature comforts that make me prefer it over the 'bird any day.

before my car i drove:
83 Datson 200SX manual transmission - slow 4 cylinder
92 Ford Escort station wagon auto transmission - SLOW 4 cylinder
85 Pontiac Firebird auto transmission - slow 4 cylinder
96 Pontiac Bonneville - faster v6 (you know)
04 Pontiac Bonneville - faster v6 (same engine, me and my bro raced, first time it was neck-and-neck, second time i won by a couple car lengths, he got a bad start)
so my car is fast. ive driven gxp n* and ive driven ssei, but this is enough for me
(until i have the money to swap)
