Personally, there are only two criteria I have for the G8 (good styling goes without saying): RWD, and a pleasure to drive. No overboosted numb steering crap, please.

Eventually you get used to it.
I think GM is playing catchup and charges WAY to damn much for their stuff. I am happy with my $14,000 xB that'* built better than any GM out there. I loved my bonne, but it was only 5 years old and lost $30,000 in value, that'* pretty lame.
BTW, the REAL G8 concept was an AWD LS1 powered Grand Prix that ran through the 4wd Aztec setup.. it never held and would break itself anytime it went WOT. Oh well, cool car though.
