Default Need some help.....

From the SC guys. I need to know for certain the stock pulley diameters on the superchargers. I think 92/93 is 2.5, not sure about 94/95, and I think 96 and up is 3.8.

I also need to know the stock crank pulley diameter. Doing some research with Pulley Boys.....

I did a measurement on mine once and it was real close to 3" on the nose. If it warms up some more around here I can go get another, more accurate measurement.

Yah, 3.0 was what I measured--but I don't have a micrometer. I haven't measured my crank, though. :(

If i remember correctly i got 3" as well. Let me know, will, how you plan to take your pulley off. I cannot figure it out. I may have to go to a dealership

You need a puller to remove your SC pulley. Will is/was making one and offered to loan it out as needed. You may wish to PM him to verify the offer.

I haven't looked at it that closely. Maybe when Will wakes up from his snooze he can chime in.

Huh? Who made that noise! Who woke me up?

Funny, I WAS taking a snooze before work. Somebody is spying on me.

Ok, ALL Series 1 pulleys are keyed. Take a look at the Pulley Boys website. You'll see the difference. For the 92/93 guys, he'* out of stock until march on the 2.25 and smaller pulleys. My 2.5 (or 2.55, gotta measure again) is the most popular performance pulley for the 94/95. You probably don't need a puller. I did make one, but it'* custom and will only fit a 92/93. After my pulley swap, it will be available for loan, and I'll double check it when I get home again, it MIGHT work for the 94/95. The puller at the gpstore is actually made by.....PULLEY BOYS. That'* the design I copied (sorry Brian!). He also makes the pulleys for them. Surprised?

Only the Series 2 are pressed on. It should be a simple matter of removing the belt, removing the set screw into the keyway (if there is one) and removing the nut. I don't know yet if simply holding the pulley with a strap wrench will be enough resistance to be able to remove the nut from the input shaft of the nosedrive.....but I will know this weekend when I gut my blower.

The diameters I need are for some specific calculations that Pulley Boys and I are working on. We want to see what exact diameters do to the blower RPM'* and associated heat. I don't want to just buy a pulley cuz everyone else does. This info will benefit all the Series1 guys, and we can do the same for Series 2 for those who are interested. Pulley Boys (Brian....the man) is GREAT. I've been bouncing info back and forth with him for a couple weeks now. He'* a really interesting character, and as busy as he is, he'* dedicating some time for the Bonneville Club. I'm GLAD SCperformance screwed us. It got me off my duff to work with Pulley Boys!

When I get all this straightened out, I'll be publishing a BUNCH of info supercharger related.

You can let your new buddy know that I am up for some parts once we know what they got for us series 1 guys. SCPerformance won't ever gey my business after all the trouble everyone else had to go thru.
