My Alternator went this morning . I posted a while ago about a wierd humming. Well this morning the humming was back and the voltage was in the red. Damnit!

well, your not the first! Make sure and get another altrenator with a garentee. I've gone through 2 since september but the 2nd one was free because the 1st one was under their garentee!

get the next size up replacement for the alternator... 130 amp i think(stock is 105 i think) ? either that or 160 (obtainable in ACDelco with lifetime warrenty) It is a beast so will require some very minor mods, but works wonders when done (get the boot that goes over the wire on the alternator side or be prepared for some serious stretching)

The front bearing on most alternators is too small. Soon as it goes it takes out the windings. Seldom is it the regulator.
