I'm Back with a new ride....
So I have been gone a while, plus I never really posted that mujch before... but I have since aquired ownership of a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD Duramax Diesel. I know I know....Its not a Bonneville...but it moves...
This also means that this winter my 99 SE will be going into the garage to have some serious mods done. Exhaust, Intake, Plugs, Wires, Headers etc....Fun Stuff
I will post pictures within the next week of both rides in their current state.

Why do people buy diesels in trucks like that....one thing that always gets me. I see people buying diesel ford f250'* all the time and all they do is just drive them to work and back and stuff. They are dirty, pollute a lot and are stinky.

why not Diesel? I've heard they actually pollute less than similarly sized gasoline engines. Plus, they do get better gas mileage, thier gas is cheaper, and also with a turbo they have both buttloads of torque and can move on the top end better too. mercedes even sells some diesel cars.

My reason for going diesel: Power(I tow my parents car trailer which is quite a haul), Mileage, Longevity, and resale value. Not to mention since my family owns a company wiht diesel trucks, we own diesel tanks and pumps that I am welcome to use free of charge to me.

actually there for a while diesel was way more expensive than gas, at least it was here anyway, i havent noticed in a while, the station i work at and get gas from doesnt sell diesel.
but i will have to agree with the turbo diesel> all thing...i remember on horsepower tv they had a dodge diesel down into the 14s with nothign but a tuner....and i think it was a 2500 dually......thats powa

Those are all old misconceptions of diesels. The turbo diesels make massive power, and can make even more with a computer. They pull SIGNIFICANTLY better, and last longer. etc etc...
Nearly every car offered in Europe has a diesel version, and for a reason.
