2006 Bonneville
I was at the new car show last evening, could not find a Bonneville and when I inquired, I was advised by more than one rep of GM that the Bonneville will be phased out with the current year? They also went on to say that the Buick Lesabre would also be phased out, but replaced with a new model.
I usually never trust anything I hear from the car show reps, but I must admit that my love of GM is just about eliminated with this rumour coupled with the prior elimination of the Trans Am model and the Oldsmobile division. I now risk having three orphaned vehicles in my limited stable!
The new Infinitti M35 is looking better and better...

Think of it this way......the 1956 Star Chief was rebadged and sold as the Bonneville in 1957. In 2006, the Bonneville will be rebadged and sold as the G8. But it'* still a Bonneville to us

I was just at a local car show tonight and talked to the owner of the Pontiac dealership. I asked him why he didn't bring a Bonneville in ( he only had one that I know of and it was a GXP). SO he went on to say that I should have come in a looked at his GXS, I was like you mean GXP. This guy is the owner and he didn't know the damn name of it. He did say that they are coming out with a new v-8 car , and I told him yeah the G8. He mentioned that is was a grand prix g-8, I told him it was still not a Bonneville, lol.
I knew for a while ( seems like 2 years now) that the Bonneville was going by the way-side.
Oh well, maybe the new G-8 will be a nice car.
Renée was not impressed with ANY cars at the show except for the Avalanche. Yeah 57,000$ later. The replacement for the *-10 ( the Colorado) was not half bad, extended cab auto and other options was 31,000$ about the same as I paid for my Malibu, go figure.
