That'* the thing about big builds. I like the big install etc. The bug hunt is the final details that always take forever and don't make a lot of progress. Although it'* required to finishing

It started and ran great, but when I was standing there with the key in my hand and the engine was still running, ya, we have a bug. Tracked it down to the ICCU. Plug it in and the ignition keeps running, unplug, and it shuts off like it should.

Good thing I went back to look, missed it by one tooth.

There, now I nailed it.

Then, as mentioned above, had a little problem with the car not wanting to shut off, even with key out. It worked fine the other day, so must have been something I did yesterday. So I stated going over everything. Unplugged this, then that, no change. Finally unplugged the ICCU, and the problem went away. Plugged it back in, problem came back. Hmm, strange. Double checked everything, all looked good. Finally, on a whim, I check the wire I added from the ignition signal wire to the ICCU. It looked fine. But it'* the only thing I changed on the ICCU yesterday. So I cut if off and soldered in a new wire. Problem went away. Strangest thing. But that is what it was.

But now the engine wont start. Standing there scratching my head. Checked things over, all looks good. No start. So I unplug an injector, hook up a light, and it blinks. Injectors are working. Pull a plug wire, connect an old spark plug, lay it on a ground, crank, good strong spark. WTH??? I then check fuel pressure. Got none. What the? We had pressure just before. I can hear the pump. The tank is low, perhaps out of gas. So Chris goes and gets some gas. Still nothing. So I put my head right down by the pump and listen. I can hear it run, but why do I hear gas splashing? Oh oh. Pull the pump, and the fuel line came off inside. Fixed that, put it back, and turned the key.

Some noises to deal with, oil got on the belt, and I think there may be a vacuum leak. Got a lot of tuning to do.

That vac leak might be the IAC, that thing has fooled me a few times, let the engine warm up. I hear a squeaky pulley.

Boy, I hope that fuel line doesn't pop off out in the middle of nowhere.

The fuel line is clamped in place now. It shouldn't go anywhere.

That it would seem is another one of those bugs we're looking for. I should know more when I get the computer hooked up tomorrow.

Glad you got it resolved. Do you think that wire got pinched or something through the firewall or maybe it had a break?
