108mph, and nobody had removed the speed limiter to my knowledge on an SSE, other than Turtle (and he has a 92 with a seriously built 95 motor, and the same chip I run).

If you put your year, model, and mods in your signature it will help out alot.

What you're thinking of doing is pretty spooky. Especially on an SSE. Before even thinking of it (which I don't suggest), you should do the following:

Install ANOTHER trans cooler, or replace yours with a larger unit.
Upgrade your tires to Z rated, and make damn sure they're balanced well. Consider siping.
Upgrade your front brakes to slotted rotors and ceramic pads. Replace rear pads.
Replace/upgrade all the suspension bushings and bolts.
Consider lowering the car at least an inch. 2" would be better.

Then chip the car to remove the speed limiter, and consider re-thinking your attempt at a land speed record.

Ok, thank you for all the info on what I should do, I will keep it in mind. I had all ready thought of changing the tires because the yokohamas I have are only rated for a max of 112 MPH. and I do plan on having all the systems (suspension, drivetrain, etc.) checked when I have the money. I already need some suspension work needed because the struts are starting to go and I need to replace the brakes soon anyways. The 2 in. lowering may be a problem because I live on gravel roads. but thank you again
