yes, my friends, those darn weights are necessary . the sight of those is blahhhh so i understand what everyone means. but there is a small solution for that tho if no one knows about it........have yur wheels rebalanced (if computer balancing is available where you take it). you have to tell the mechanic or tire installer that you want all the weight transfered to the inside of the rim. this is to alleaviate the unsightly weights on the outside. im not sure if this is ok with allum. rims but i know it can be done for steel ones. i know because i was trained to do it . take care all and hope this sheds some light on this subject.

You'll notice on my wheels (Your Ride forum) I have stick on weights that go on the inside of the wheel.
