May I suggest not using a Gatorback belt? I've haven't had the best luck with them stretching and wear wise. But others have had no problems at all with them.

Dayco has the same pattern as the Gators and is lower cost...seems to treat me great.
Like Dbeast....I've been running it with a 3.4 for 6-8 months..never slipped..never given me a moments worry.

I'll stick with Gatorback from now on I think. The relief cuts give it grip, allow the debris to be taken out of the grooves, and also allow the belt to turn a smaller radius.
As far as the Dayco is concerned, my knowledge of them is that the cuts across the 'tread' are perpendicular to the edge of the belt, not diagonal like the Gatorbacks. I may be wrong on this (I know there'* a brand out there like this).

When looking for belts..I noticed they are nearly identical to Gators.
