grinding in the supercharger
i have a 92 sse and when i crank the motor and let it idle it sounds like something is being ground up in the supercharger is this normal or what could the problem be and is there any places in houston or near houston that fixes them or rebuilds them

That is you're supercharger'* coupler. The supercharger itself does NOT need to be replaced. Just the coupler. It is a $30 part and easy to instal yourself. The supercharger is still GOOD. Just get to it ASAP.

If it is your coupler, this is a well known brand that you can use to replace your old one.

Assuming the noise is ONLY at idle, remove the SC belt and wiggle the SC pulley clockwise and counter-clockwise. Do you feel any slop or play? If so, it'* the coupler. It COULD be bearings in the nosedrive, which you can also do yourself, but is usually the coupler.

It'* an L67. Specifiy 1992, and get the yellow coolant passage o-rings. It'* a 92 so you should be able to reuse the plastic TB gasket, if you even took the TB off the supercharger. You may have to go to a dealership to get a gasket. Have your VIN ready,
