I'm in Flint, but I'm also cheap

I wouldn't have minded buying a ridiculous quantity at insane prices, but I'm kind of funny about paying high shipping prices.

Yeah, I know, I know.

My brother in law is about 4 minutes from ZZP, so I'll probably have him swing by and pick some up, as he'* visiting tomorrow anyway. Same speed as shipping, without the cost.

I do appreciate the help though. And no, if I found out what it was, I probably wouldn't post here either (unless that source of information was 100% independant of any vendor here). We probably don't even have enough people needing it to come close to justifying the minimum purchase required...

Unless there was an alternative. :?

Need to stop thinking like that, and just get the LSS back on the road, methinks...

Hey, I don't think anyone could blame you for trying. It was a noble effort.

I've been asked quite a few times about this and you are not just paying for shipping when you get product. You are paying for the labor to pack it, the box it comes in, the proper and adequate packaging to ensure its safety, the insurance to protect it in case of breakage or theft, the notification of tracking numbers, etc...all of this adds up.

I would rather believe that a customer would like to recieve a professional package on time and in one piece rather than a used box with inadequate packaging packed by a 5/hour part timer who doesnt care about the products being shipped but thats just me.

Rogue,

Having received the SC grease you sent me in the little plastic containers, I would like to make one suggestion.

When I received it, it was well packaged and the tablespoon of grease was neatly contained inside a small plastic cup with a plastic top.
When I opened it, the plastic container crumbled. It almost seemed like the grease or UV had degraded the plastic to the point of being very brittle.

I'm sure you have been distributing it this way for a while and maybe no one has experienced this but I feel obliged to feedback to INTENSE just in case there are incompatibilities.

I have transfered the remaining product to a small glass jar (old mini jam jar) for future use.

Damn that stuff is hard to wash off hands.....even with Fast Orange.

= misunderstood.

I didnt' mean that you are charging too much for shipping, I mean that I gag when I see the cost of overnight shipping. It'* like that with every company, and not because of that company, but because of what it actually costs to ship something overnight. The charges are reasonable for what they're doing, I just have a hard time paying that.

lol - sorry if it seems that way. Just trying to find a more readily available source. I'm willing to spend some time up front trying to find unique solutions to problems, if it'll save other members time down the road.

And for me right now, it'* all about time. My original hope was that while it was a special synthetic blend, that there would be a similar off the shelf subsitute that could be used, as it would a) save me time, and b) save others time (and possibly money) in the future when they go through the same process.

Although I don't think most people would find themselves in quite the pinch for time that I'm in at the moment...

Noted, thanks for the feedback. I'll look into a different type of container if these prove to be a problem.
