Default Supercharger coupler procedure

Is there a step-by-step procedure anywhere on how to replace the coupler? The coupler is wasted in my 92. Also, what are the parts I'll need?

I haven't finished the nosedrive section at www.williamwren.com/superchargers and with all the shenanigans around here lately, and the work on my cars, it won't be this weekend.

You need to remove the supercharger. Double nut to remove the stud. Otherwise, it'* the same as the procedures for the M90 on my website:

http://www.williamwren.com/Bonnevill...umba/page7.htm

Last pic on that page, first pic on the next page, and misc shots from my first one.

I have newer pics for the new procedure, but they aren't uploaded yet.

I believe I need to change my coupler soon and my question is, realistically how long does it take to install a coupler with average mechanical skills? It'* been said that it;* a skill level of about 6.5 out of 10 and a totall time of about 4.5 hours to complete. Does that sound reasonable with my skill level?

Thanks everyone.

Sounds reasonable. Take your time, do it in a day. Attention to detail, and use a torque wrench. Specs are in Techinfo.

I give it more of a 4 out of 10. Without having much of an idea what to do when I started, it took me just a couple hours.

Your second time will be much less than your first. The lengthiest procedure may simply be cleaning off the old outlet gasket.

Double-nut the stud in the nosedrive that goes through the alt bracket, remove the fuel rail and vacuum lines (all 10mm), remove the belt, remove a dozen or so studs on the SC to LIM.
Disconnect the 3 harnesses to the TB, remove the TB bracket/heatshield, disconnect the cruise and throttle cables, then lift the SC up.

Probably the biggest pita is the heatshield/throttle bracket.

Take the MAF and IAC out of the TB, and clean the TB and IAC with intake cleaner well. Clean the MAF sensor per Techinfo. Use a new TB gasket just before reassembly. Drivability will be greatly enhanced.

To bad there wasn't anyone in the Toronto area that was doing the same procedure so we could do it together. Hint Hint!...... Thanks for the advice J Wikoff & willwren. I'm thinking of also doing the nose drive bearings, adding a nosedrive drain and porting and polishing thanks to willwren'* "The ultimate Supercharger Page For Pontiac Bonnevilles" I may need some advice when I finally get to it willwren.

Thanks

I'm also considering changing the lower intake gaskets when I replace the coupler. I assume once the supercharger is off, replacing the LIM gaskets would be very similar to the LIM gasket procedure for a L36....right?
