Power antenna issues

Power antenna issues
Help, help, help……
So, been working on this 91 PA for months…darn near done.
The power antenna was shot so I attempted to replace it with a "Universal Fit" from NAPA. Could not get it to work and in figuring out why not I shorted something out. I LOST the Radio (only static and no display) Tape player still works, tho... Lost my courtesy lights, don't work at all. Panel light dimmer still controls instrument panel illumination but will not turn dome lights on in full on position. Dome lights can be turned on at individual switches, however. I lost the Climate Control, no indicator lights, no blower…no display….
I checked and rechecked all fuses, found one burnt but replacing it had no effect…Courtesy light relay seems to work….
Please, if you can help….I'm heart sick…..

I seem to rember a issue similar to this once where the curtesy fuse blew but the radio was back feeding through a different circuit. I suggest unplugging the radio and the antenna and checking the fuses again. Are you using the test light method to check the fuses or are you removing them and looking at them? The next thing I would do is remove the curtesy fuse and make sure you are getting power to the supply side. Sometimes the curtesy fuse is listed as the cig lighter fuse. Hope this helps. Hopefully someone on here has access to a wiring diagram and can post it to help map the problem.

Thank you Art and William, I felt better for your involvement.
Anyway, call it project fatigue, low blood sugar or just AAAAAAH…after a night of agonizing over what could well have been the fatal flaw in this project (why I loose faith, I don't know) I woke early and returned to the scene. Since I got this car the driver'* side fuse block has lacked the cover and hence the fuse diagram. I had oft noticed one fuse space was without a fuse. Apparently, when I pulled each fuse searching for a blown one, I must have pulled an adjacent fuse and put it back not where it belonged but in the empty space. Therefore, when I found a blown fuse and replaced it the radio, climate control and courtesy lights remained out. Thus much agony and hair pulling. This morning, I looked again, checking for power to the fuses, I tested the now open space and indeed there was power coming to it. So I put a 15 amp fuse in and Lo and Behold, on came the Radio, Courtesy lights and the Climate Control……..I think, however, I am going to leave the power antenna alone and just replace it with a non-power model…I'd feel I'd be pushing my luck with this one So, lessoned learned….
P.*. If anyone does have access to a fuse diagram for this PA I'd sure like to see it.
Thanks all, Gregory
