Default No Turn Signals But Hazards Work

I was in a fender bender a week ago and it took out my front passenger side marker. The bulb still works but the cover was smashed on it. It was working fine so I thought "No worries, get it fixed later!".

After leaving to drive home from Burlington to Brantford (over 40 minute drive), I noticed I now had NO SIGNAL lights at all! Both the left and right ones were not working, They just stay on. When I finally stopped for a coffee, I tried them all and realized they did not work but the four ways do work. Also when I lock the car, all the lights will flash on and off.

Would this be simply from the accident and I just have to replace the front marker to fix it? Or is there more to it maybe? I have had electrical problems before, funky radio displays and diagnostic panel not lighting up correctly but this is a new one for me!

I am going to the wreckers in the morning to get a new marker to see if that works but wanted to post this overnight to see if anymore ideas come out!

Do keep in mind that even changing a marker is a big task for someone who is not mechanically inclined!!!

Interesting. The corner should be a 194 single element bulb. Which should get power for parking lamps, blinkers and hazards.

I would start by checking the fuse for turn signals and work from there. Maybe the fuse popped in the accident.

The bulb itself does work though. I was reading the manual just now in the daylight and it says the one fuse controls the turn signals, back up lights and something else. I have no way of checking the backup lights in the day alone so I am going away today anyhow so will get help in checking that. That might be the culprit there alone (I hope and pray!), if not I will keep on searching!

Will report back on findings later.
