Default More compass probs

Hello all, I have a problem with my compass in my 99, I replaced the speakers and after that i the caibrate light came on, after moving the unit away from the speaker i re-claibrated it, now its a 50/50 chance if it reads or says calibrate and reads nothing at all??? I've calibrated it 3 times, and it does the same thing, any reasons why its doing this?? Im tired of driving in circles (literaly) thanks~

Put the compass back to its original position and pull the new speakers back out. Then see if it will calibrate.

If it calibrates, then it was the speakers. Bigger speakers will cause havoc on the sensitive compass.

i would put the old speakers back in, but it was too much of a pain to do it all over again, but i moved the unit just behind the rear seat.. should i relocate it again?

you need to be sure that the direction of the compass stays like it was intended from the factory...if you notice there is a Arrow and a "FRONT" on the module.....dont comprmise the orientation of the module

some places that it has been moved to have been at the top of the rear window and also the bottom of the trunk lid...

you will want to move it from behind the rear seat
