Major short/light socket questions...
My blinker problems have gotten worse.
With the head lights off:
- Left turn signal blinks, but slower then the right.
- Otherwise everything else is fine.
With the head lights ON:
- Right turn signal blinks OK, but remains illuminated the whole time. It just gets BRIGHTER when it blinks. This is only on the front. The rear right works as it should.
- Left turn signal does not blink, but the light for it on the instrument panel stays lit, however it is not illuminated on the outside. When I press the lever down it stays solid on the outside on both the back and front.
- With the ignition turned to on, and the headlights on, when I use the turn signal the speed of the chime will speed up and slow down, and the security light will go on and off.
I think some of these problems are caused by the front left socket being damaged (but all bulbs are good). I will head out to the wrecker most likely tomorrow to get some sockets, but I was wondering if they are the same between my gen of ville/h-body and later ones? I know there are about 3 or 4 92-99 Bonnevilles, and about 10 other h-bodies out there, but no 87-91.
After the socket, I have no idea what to do. I need some help guys.
Thanks

I replaced the socket with those from a '90 LE I found at the yard. All works great now, however the left signal still blinks slower then the right, but I can live with that. I also got a new pontiac dart for my front one that had fallen off.
My remaining question is...are both front amber lights supposed to come on with the headlights? They both do now, and get brighter when they blink. I'm just making sure thats supposed to happen...
On a side note, I was happy to see the '90 LE. It seems there is nothing wrong with it...wasn't in an accident and the odo reads only 142,000KM'*, which is nothing for a 3800. I wonder why it'* there. The tails are the 3 colour ones and are in almost perfect condition. The yard is asking $40 CDN ea...maybe I should try and haggle with them...
