Clay Bar saves the day...sorta
Mothers Clay bar saved my car sorta. The city is working on the street[repaving] and I happened to have been a half of a city block away from it and got tar overspray on my vehicle. about 40% came off, but that was after not 1 but 2 claybars[4 hours worth]. They were black as can be. I am in the process of going after the city and construction company for neglegence[they oversprayed some ppls houses]. So the big going down is monday. Just imagine your nice white car looking like someone took black paint in a spray gun for about 20 feet away and got your ENTIRE car covered with black spots.

Hey, Chad. I'm also from GR. Where did this happen? Tough luck. My dad actually painted his house about six years ago while my car was parked about 100 feet away, and it still got overspray on it (a 94 Camaro Z28, looking great in Black). The paint was a dark tan. Spray all over the left and top of car. I took it to J & * Car Care on Clay Ave. They did a fantastic job removing the overspray and the paint never looked better. Clay bar will work, but it'* possible to still scratch the paint. This guy uses sharkskin and beeswax. I don't get it, but it worked. Insurance covered all but $50 bucks of it, which my dad gracefully paid the difference.

on Plymouth between michigan and fulton. I claybared and used some stuff called Roll Off i Use on the boats clear coat. Combo of the two seemed to work on the less...set-in stuff. I took pictures of everything, since the city made a point of if anything is destroyed[the yard in one instance] or damaged while in construction it would be re-embursed.
