Wanted to update this thread. Running Firefox and uninstalling Chrome has been a very good move. My computer no longer has a huge hard drive lag and runs very efficient. I have not missed Chrome at all. The AdBlock plus has also been great, no side effects running it and the ads have gone away.

This is interesting, because I switched to chrome because FIrefox was a memory hog, and chrome was a lean mean browsing machine. Looks like I may need to re-evaluate my stance on this...
