Default Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) on 95 Buick Regal

Hey guys, it'* me again...

Thank you all for all of your help so far, and any advice you can offer on this current issue.

Car Details:
- 1995 Buick Regal Custom
- GM 3800 Series 1
- 3.8L "L27"

After the latest LIM & UIM issues, I noticed my TPS was sticking. (on a related note, im curious as to if this could be causing the "high idle" issues I've been facing. TLDR: My car idles around 2000 RPM upon starting, and slowly increases.)

I assumed the spring inside the TPS had given up on life. So, while at the salvage yard for other parts, I pulled a TPS from a fantastic looking 95 Buick Regal 3800 3.8 "Limited." The car only had ~70,000 miles, so I figured "what the hell, what can it hurt?"

However, the TPS didn't fit. No worries, I went back and found a few other Regals with low mileage (side note: I found quite a few of these 3800s with low mileage sitting in the salvage yard. I wonder if they went there with easy fixes?). However, while searching I kept running into the same issue: The TPS looks exactly the same, but two plastic ledges inside the TPS connector - presumably there to keep someone from connecting the wrong TPS - are in different locations that the one I pulled off my car.

Here is the TPS on my 95 Buick Custom: My Car'* TPS connector

Here is the TPS on the salvage 95 Buick Regal (and what I found on all other "compatible" models)Limited:
Salvage TPS connector

Any idea why this would be an issue? My first thought is that a previous owner has already replaced the TPS and the connector. However, I can't find any evidence of splicing on the connector - so unless someone reqired the connector and had the patience to route this wire correctly and completely inside of the original wire tubing, i'm starting to doubt it as ever replaced. I figured i'd post here while working on other things to get your thoughts on the matter.

One last question: Does anyone have a useful diagram or reference sheet for all the PED connections on the 3800 series 1? I've search google endlessly, to no avail. I ask because I found a loose connector and cannot for the life of me figure out where it leads. I highly doubt it is something I unplugged during the LIM, as I thoroughly photographed and documented every step of the process.

Here is the PED in question, and where it leads: PED 49 & respective wire lead

Thanks for any help you can offer!

I have no idea on the TPS connector. I didn't even realize the holes were keyed, unless it'* because yours is missing the weather seal and that is throwing things off.

Also, my first thought is that plug goes to IAT sensor on the airbox.
