Powertrain in 1991 buick regal gs
I own a 1991 buick regal gs with the 3.8 in it. I was wondering if it has the same series engine and transmission as my 89 bonneville. Did buick use the vin c in 91. I can't check it right now because my wife has the car in Ohio.

according to my info, in 91 the regal had the 3.8 vin L (l27 tuned port injection 3800)
so no it is not the same engine that is in your bonneville.

The Vin will be the dead giveaway... The 8th didget should be an L for the L27 ( Tuned Port Injection 3800 )
The Vin C used in the 88-91 Bonnevilles were almost the same engine as the Tuned Port Injection 3800, with the one exception being that the Tuned Port had better breathing ability
