Speedometer + HUD not working
So I have a 05 GXP and the Speedometer doesn't work now and neither does the HUD. Thought it might be the VSS but that didn't do it. I was thinking it might be the PCM maybe, because i'm pretty sure they both get the speed signal from the PCM not each other. Looking for any other solutions or if i replace the PCM where is a good place to get an upgraded one?

We had quite a few GXP'* with bad clusters. And unfortunately you can't replace just one gauge. Never heard of a bad PCM, or it being the root of this kind of problem. Are you sure all fuses are good? There'* two main boxes, one under the rear seat, and one on the right fenderwell. No such thing as an "upgraded PCM". Our Northstar PCM'* are locked and non flashable.

Thanks i will check them out. I went through all the fuses and nothing seemed to be bad, i actually pulled every one and verified it. would the cluster cause the HUD speedo not to work as well. All the HUD shows for speed is a constant 0, it still shows the radio station and all the others. Also after driving about a mile or two, the ABS and Traction Control lights come on. Is this a reaction to the Speedometer.

Sorry for the late reply. Another thread got on top of your and this Section isn't always active. So the Hud isn't blown, just the speed and the analog speedo. Really not sure here, never had/heard of this and the ABS~T/C light all at once. If all the fuses are good, the next step would be to get any trouble codes read.

so i went to the auto hobby shop on base and they were able to read the codes. it came back with a ton of codes from the abs system, rear wheel speed, voltage fault. So i surely have a problem. i didn't have a chance to copy them all down the guy was in a hurry and he did it for free vs. an 85$ dealer diagnostic fee. So i don't know if any of them are related to the speedometer but i am going to get under and try to find out. When i figure it out i will post the solution if there is one for any future GXP owners.

Definitely doesn't sound like a bad cluster here. If it was a bad cluster, your HUD would still show the correct speed. I was one of the guys with a bad cluster. In my case, the engine temperature gauge fell flat on its side. Check your wiring at the wheel hubs/wheel speed sensors and go from there. Defininitely sounds like a wiring issue of some sort.

Could you post the trouble codes? Could help us help you and others in the future. Often multiple codes are like dominoes. One fault will cause others.

Well i ran by the dealer and footed the fee to have them Diagnose the issue. When they ran the codes all they came up with was (C1234) which is the LR speed sensor open/short circuit. As for the compass, they told me it was a bad compass control module and as for the Speedometer, they verified the signal from the VSS to the PCM. Then checked the signal leaving the PCM and it was good. So there is a wiring issue between the PCM and the Cluster (the cluster checked 5.0 as well). then they said i needed to authorize another $300 to further find the issue. So i am going to do what TOM_SAWYER_MAN said about Disconnecting the HUD and Cruise Control. The dealer also said it may one of those parts.
Here'* my questions, Where is the cruise control module and what is the best way to get to the HUD i noticed alot of rivets in the dash behind the cluster area?

looks like CCM (cruise control module) is located at top of left front strut tower

HUD Module is a little more complicated
