John,
I have a serious question !!
While sniffing around this morning for some Duramax parts Oh and yet another set of Oil cooler lines for the GXP
I stumbled onto something called a Areocharger, No not something cheapo on ebay
House Of Boost stuffed twin setup into a stock G8 no tune it ran 11'*
66-Series Aerocharger
They are small light and could be put under the hood of the GXP with little modification.
What do you think about running this with out a tune ?

66-Series Aerocharger
- * Variable Vane Turbine
- * Ceramic Ball Bearing
- * Self Contained Lubrication
- * No Turbo-Lag
- * Up to ~540 CFM
- * Weight: 15 lbs

UPDATE: 01.16.10 ~ Car is still together, still has a 100% stock motor and tranny. Nothing has been touched, still racking up miles. So for anyone that doesn't think the GM stuff will hold up, this thing is passing the test. Over 30k miles on it now! These Aerochargers rock! Wicked performance for simple little mods.... No Fuel System, No Cam, No Stall......hasn't even had to come into GM for any warranty work! So Props to GM....take care all.

My condolences on another set of oil kines. I used to think this was a GM OEM installation problem, but your the second person I hear of repeat leaks. Mine hasn't dripped a drop of oil anywhere in 48k of pretty hard miles.
I would say you need to talk to their engineering team. Smallish, yes. But fitting them on tranverse engine I see as stuffed front and back??? The G8 isn't a tranverse application. The say there was no engine modification, but I don't see "no tune" mentioned. Which can be done on a G8. Seriously, 10 pounds of boost without tuning timing and fuel. ???? What, is it suppose to run harder just on air pressure? I can not believe as well that some serious KR is not going to occur at 10Lbs boost. There a several key things not accounted for in the very brief description on their website. And their 'forum' is all about PR and nothing technical.
