Ceramic Brakes for GXP
Brakes are squeling bad. Going to be changing to ceramics this weekend any suggestions on what kind or type?

GXP-Vince,
I replaced my front brakes at 6500 with the Delco Durastop ceramic pads and they've worked great. I have a lot less dust and they are really quiet so far. Only have 700 miles on these new pads but I'm really glad that I upgraded. Since the car had such low miles on it, I just had the stock rotors lightly turned to give me a good break in surface. I also had Reybestos Quietstop ceramics on my Cadillac STS and they were excellent as well.

I have the Advanced Technology Rotors on all 4 corners and Delco pads to follow them up.. The only thing I notice now is that I am boiling the brake fluid I should soon upgrade to DOT 5 and do stainless lines.
2 or 4 stops from 140+ and you really feel the loss of pedal.

So I put on the ceramics and turned the rotors. Stops good no squeling but I still have lots of brake dust? I figured it was just because I just put them on and Just turned the rotors. Should it go away(at least be minimal) in like a week or so?

Vince you need to upgrade the rotors as well..
like I mentioned,
Advanced Tech Rotors Part # 580264
and Delco Pads. part # 17D818CH ??
I believe that they are correct but should put you in the right area.. I know the rotors do not list for the GXP but do for the CTS and STS .
