For the 6x9'* it depends if you want speakers that handle a lot for like an amp, or just for better than stock. I just used Jenson 6x9'* they were cheap but a lot better than stock paper cones. When I took the speakers out it was so easy to poke a hole in the stock speakers they suck.

Well, I looked around and couldn't find it in any of my service manuals.
I do know that the speakers in the back are 6x9, and they are specifically referred to as subwoofers with a bass gain amplifier up front. I've looked around to try and find 6x9 subwoofers in stores with no luck.

There probaly called subwoofers or sub or woofer, cause stock paper cone their only a cone, their not like 2-way or 3-way like better aftermarket speakers are. Just get a good set of 3-ways cause you can hear the high'* and mid'* alot better along with bass then stock paper speakers. But do you get what I'm saying with the woofers. Since the stock are just a cone or woofer that'* why they recall them that. They don't have a tweeter or they would be called 2-way. But since it'* just a woofer that'* probably why they call it taht. Aftermarket are the same they have what they call a woofer which hanldes the low'* or bass and then a mid, and tweeter or high. Defintely alot better then stock.

well the rear 6x9 are dual voice coils one for the mid to high rang and the other for the lows. i think that the amp has seprat ins and outs or that the radio just powers the mid to high range and the amp that is under the sterring colum is for the low end voice coils on the 6x9s and is controled by the gain varistor under the radio. know i belive that i can use the low end outputs on a new 3 way 6x9 from jenson the 49.00 dollor one from wal-mart they are 180 watt speakers and have high and low seaker set on it so i could take the mid to high range outputs from the radio and put them in the 2 speakers on top and the low end would go to the main part of the 6x9. so that do you think of that. also i would like to put some better 5 and 1/4 " speakers in the front doors i found out how with the technoforum so i woud like to know if ether seaker system that i would put in would the amp and radio handle them or not. thank you
