Default Speaker mounts

Does anybody know of anywhere that sells angled speaker mounts? I'm curious because on my car the stock mount is slanted so that the mids fire away from me! If somebody made an angled speaker mount I could mount it in the stock location, but I could aim the mids atleast a little bit more toward me. With the doors opened so the woofers point at me it sounds amazing.. close the doors and you miss out on a lot of the midrange. :( I really suck at fabricating stuff so that'* why if somebody provided angled mounts that'd be ideal. Thanks for any ideas.

I know the feeling of having your mids shoot at your ankles LOL

hence I did this..

And final product installed and as you can see on the corners of the pic each mid is now firing towards the middle of the cabin.

Full shot of the new pod

its not really as hard as many make it out to be its just time consuming.. If ya got time and patience you too can do the same I swear..

heh. I don't want to mess up my door panel. anyway angle them better from behidn the panel? It doesn't have to be perfect or a drastic improvement, but anything has to be better than how it is from the factory. Check out the speaker placement/angle on the Aurora doors...

that is one funky *** door panel LOL..

yeah my theory of pods is shot huh? hahaha

ok only thing to do is to try and make some out of 3/4 mdf and then belt sand it to a angle so it shoots em a little bit more at a angle..

then mount ring to door, speaker to ring.. and pray all that actually does something.

:P

I did a little googling and I found plenty of 30* angled 6x9 spacer/mounts but no 6.5". figures. lol. uhhh.. I suck so bad at fabricating. lol. If only I were gifted in that area.

I don't have the correct tools to do something like that unfortuantely. :( That'* what I was thinking too though, a MDF spacer ring sanded on an angle. Too bad nobody sells them, and I don't know anybody to make something like it. :'( To make matters worse, my factory speakers are actually 6 3/4" and the Infinities are 6.5" so they didn't fit just right. I had to use a lot of speaker gasket to make sure they sealed properly. (and they did) The angled mount would need to bolt to the 6 3/4" door panel, and to my 6.5" speakers.
