I have an Alpine CDE-9852... and I was wondering how some other people configured it.

I have stock speakers inside, with the alpine head unit, attached ipod, kenwood 800W amp bridges to two 12" Eclipse subs, sealed box.

I am not sure If I like the loudness on and the bass on 0 and sub level on +8. This gives the bass more of a punch effect, but when the volume is up, it feels like the tweeters get a little static in them.

or

If I like the loudness off and bass at +3 and the sub level up to +10. The bass seems to be more of a blast, lower freq. and louder effect. The speakers seem to be clearer at a higher volume.

I was wondering if anyone else had a similar deck that I could compare settings to.

The "loud" settings on almost all decks is a GREAT way to send a distorted signal to your speakers.

Which is the easiest way to blow them. It is probably also what you are hearing when you turn it up all the way.

Yeah, I agree... I used to have a pioneer deck and the loudness only affected the subs. The alpine deck it seems to control the inside speakers as well. No fun, but atleast I found a work around.
