Quick follow up on window regulator swap
Swapped the left rear window regulator today. Had a tougher time than most who have done the swap. Below are a few bullets/ lessons learned. Note that I only had 45 minutes to do the swap as I had to pick someone up from the airport, along with I did the swap in a dimely lit garage at about 20 degrees inside the garage.
* Primary tool is a 10mm socket
* A clamp is required to fix the window in the fully closed position
* There are two window holder bolts that must be loosened, the one closest to the front seat can only be loosened with the window FULLY up
* Window holder bolts require a 10 mm socket to loosen. This bolt also has a Phillips head option but in my case I was stripping the head- so I recommend only using the socket to loosen
*Window black box must be removed to remove the defective regulator. I tried to skip this and found out it must be removed
* The regulator plug can be hard to remove. Take your time.
* The door will have to be resealed after the swap has been completed- be prepared for this
* I did the swap with power to the window switch the entire time. Many likely won't recommend this- but I liked it because it allowed me to raise the regulator track without going to the dash to turn on the key
Finally, the motor drops the window at normal speed, but goes up very slowly. When I reseal the door in the spring I will look for a cause. May be a defect, cheap Chinese part, poor install or simply needs lube. When I swap the right side in the next few days it may tell me the answer.
Thanks Sawgunner, GXP Venom and Dan for help/ suggestions on this in your prior posts.

glad it'* fixed!! the slowness may be that the grease in it is cold and needs to be warmed up or the window is slightly cockeyed in the track but good job on doing it and getting her done and thanks for supplying the info for other members who may want to do this also!
