BE CAREFUL!! I shelled out for a warranty from Warranty Gold and before I ever had a chance to use it, they filed for reorganization in the bankruptcy courts. So, I paid 1300 some odd bucks for nothing, and there isn't much chance they'll pay it back or honor the paper. They are still in musiness, and supposedly honoring warranties that were not underwritten by whatever carrier screwed them, but I wouldn't give them one red cent. They made no attempt to make good on their obligation, just ran immediately to court to hide behind the law.

Thanks guys there is some good information here. I am looking at Warranty Direct for a plan that is over $1,200.00 USD. The mutual fund option looks promising.
If you have thoughts and have not posted please post. I am looking for information to sway me one way or the other.
