Intense PCM installed
Got my new pcm in the mail today along with some other goodies.
I was going to wait to install it once the rockers were in but couldnt help myself.
First I removed the negative from the battery.
Then removed the 2 pcm connectors with a 7mm nut driver.
Installed the new pcm and reconnected the negative on the battery.
Next came the security learn procedure.....35 min of it :P
lots of dic error messages, tire preasure low, engine oil and elc compressor lifting me to the moon.
once all was cleared it was time for a cruise. I noticed right away the extra snap in the tranny but kept it civil around town.
On the highway I opened her up a little and liked the quick punch in acceleration and the higher shift points.
Just so happens I was driving out to my buddy Dans place who has a Tech 2 scanner
Dan did the case learn for me and programed the steering to 'firm', thanks Dan I owe you (again) a jug.
After I left Dan'* and back on to the highway it was time to open it up and find out a few things.
With the traction control off I mashed the pedal and the car laid 2 nice 20+ foot patches of rubber while the tach shot to 5800+ rpm.
The shift was firm but not jolting as it went into second,
with the pedal mashed the tach once again climbed to 6000 rpm and the tranny slid into third (going about 75 now).
Soon I was at 130 mph and climbing, the front end starts getting loose here but the straight away was long and there was no traffic.
I made it all the way to 5600 rpm in top gear before I lost my nerve and slowed it back down.
I did notice a limiter of some sort around 115 mph but was in and out of wot so I'm not sure if was knock retard or valve float?
Hats of to Scott and the Intense Racing Team for a superb job and providing a top quality product
And a special Thank you to Rogue for his in depth descriptions and his willingness to gunie pig the first standard pcm

Sweet P-dad. Sounds like all is going well and no SES lights, think it'* time to order mine, I was going to wait for my TOG'* but screw it, just wont put the 3.2 on till after the PCM.
So want to hear the day after review, need to figure out someplace for me to do the case learn, don't really want to bring it to the dealer.
