......a disturbing sidenote to my previous post:I have been hearing/feeling,as of late, pulsating/drubbing noise coming from my wife'* brakes(01 BonnevilleSE,31K miles),.....took the car into Midas shop yesterday,..........both front rotors were corroded on the inside surface[already had to replace the rear rotors last year for the same reason] and had worn the pads down on those sides to almost metal-on-metal contact,......substantial grooving of the inside rotor face,.rotors were too much out of tolerence to machine down/re-surface........had to spring for 2 new front rotors and pads!!!.....$308 Washingtons ,.........the guy that installed them said ,"Don' feel too bad about only getting 30K miles out of the brakes............'01,'02,'03 fullsize Chevy/GMC trucks are coming in with only between 10-15K miles, with the same problem....and GM isn't doing a Darn thing about it, recall, under-warranty fixes!"
Folks, on the lookout on Your Bonnevilles!!!!..............

Those rotors look great. $239. for the front set and $162. for the rear set.
Too bad only the fronts come nickel plated and the rears are standard rustable unspecified metal.
How are yours holding up to corrosion and wear?
Havent really noticed. Don't have much problem with corrosion in California. I'm about 20 miles from the coast also, so no big issues. I give my Bonneville a hard workout each day. Pretty heavy stop and go traffic, and I also have way to much fun, but they seem to be wearing pretty even.
