First I want to thank you all for your kindness and help. I had the diagnosis test done and they just told me that there was a misfire in cylinder four and a bad cat. I haven't got a day off this week to clean the battery and etc. Will do that as soon as I have a day off. Today it jerked really bad. Acted like it didn't want to go.... again thank you.

When he put the first cat on he drilled a whole in it and told me it was going bad. then a month or two after replacing the first one the cat code came up.

I know this is a somewhat old topic, I didnt hear how your car turned out. I kinda had the same problem. My car would have a hard time going up hills, started "chugging," took a bit to downshift and accelerate. All this has gone away. I think I might have had a bad tank of gas. I added Lucas Oil Injector cleaner, and also changed out a fuel filter. Total of $25 and no problems.

Bad coil? #6 plug wire touching the front O2 sensor? These were both issues with my old bonnie, could be the same with yours. My 2000 SSEi had some surging problems when I bought it that were fixed with a set of Belden wires and NGK TR55 plugs.
