Switching coolant
I'm going to switch my car to regular green coolant when I fill the fluids when my L67 swap is done. Is there anything I should do, nothing has coolant in it anymore. I cleaned the Coolant overflow bottle, radiator, and radiator hoses. The thermostat, gasket and o-ring is also new. Did I forget anything??

Doesn't look like you have forgotten anything...
If you want to stay longlife coolant, I have been using Prestone Longlife for the last 5 years in diffrent cars and have had good luck with it... Its Orange and is compatible with Dex... I don't think the Prestone is the same as the Dex... Someone correct me if I'm wrong..

I just made that remark because I wasn't 100% about the makeup of the Orange Prestone Longlife coolant as compared to Dex Cool.. But it is compatible with Dex Cool..
He can use the Green stuff, I just wondered if he wanted to use the Long Life as opposed to the green..
I have the green in my 91, I have the Prestone Longlife in the 95 and 92 Mitsu... Been great in both... Thinking I may use Longlife in the SSE when I get it all back together again..
Chase will you be using Peak, Prestone or another Brand?

Don, I will be using Prestone (on sale right now), but I will be using green stuff opposed to orange stuff.

Don't know what the particulars are with your new engine, but if you go with "regular" green coolant, it will make a nasty passage-clogging brown crud if it meets residual Dex. So, if the new engine has not been completely drained by removing the knock sensors and/or block drains, and flushed, regular green could cause problems for you.
The safe thing is to go with the newer light green or greenish yellow coolants that will mix harmlessly with any type of antifreeze. Make sure it says so on the label.
