Default Should I Be Worried?

After I got off work, I decided to have a little fun and go as fast as I can. I managed to get to 94 in about 15-17 seconds. Then the oil gauge fluctuated(sp?) between 40 and 120. I also heard it was either a ticking noise or a dripping noise under the hood. I looked under the hood and on the ground but didn't find a leak. Did I do something really bad to my engine?

Spiked oil pressure is a sign of a failing oil pressure sender (usually). Keep an eye on it.

The ticking you heard was KNOCK. Detonation, pre-ignition. You probably have KR, and at WOT on your run, the PCM couldn't pull enough timing. You need a scan, or don't do that again.

How much would I expect to pay for a new oil pressure sender?

....and what does WOT mean? :?

Dripping? Did you hear this ticking while driving or after the car was off?
