trans stuck
ok i parked car when in house came back started car put it in reverse and i felt it pull but it was stuk same in drive too had to rock car back and fourth in gear and then it could move drove around the block shifted fine parked car and tried reverse and it locked up agine rock car did not work this time put the car in drive still nothing rock car while in gear and it freeed up tell i put it back in reverse or park i can fill it trying to move put it dont have to put it in drive and rock it to free it up but if i put it in reverse or park it wont move the trans is engaging in all gears its like something is holding it and when you rock the car in drive and it frees up it will make a poping sound the it will go forward then when you put it in reverse it will move about 6 inches then it locks up agine can someone help please and the trans is a 4t60e r.p.o is fw2 3.06drive axle

First things i would check, fluid levels. From there on in I might venture to say your reverse drum inside the transmisson is done. But all this is going out on a limb, auto fwd transmissons are a compleatly different nature. My suggestion, take it in to a good reputable transmission shop. ..
I also wonder if it could be a linkage problem? If the gear selector says Reverse, but it isnt quite engaged because of slack or play in the shifter cable?

ok i have the trans pan and fillter out when i put it in drive and turn the tires it will pop and free up put it in reverse and it gets stuck when it is still in revers i can move the tires route the tires about 4 inches back and forword but i can move thia thing with holes in it in the trans freely and the gears in the trans will move fine but when i trie to move the tires it wont move tell it is in drive and i have to move the tire forword and back and then it is free wher is the pinion gears at and stuff on the car its like a pin has sliped out and is stuck

Thats sounds a lot like a problem revolving around the Parking Prawl.... There is a rod that goed from the drivers side of the tranny to the Passenger side of the trans that actuates the parking gear... Something sounds messed up... I had a friend that had a hard time getting on into park, forcing it destroyed some parts in the trans, getting out of park wasn't smooth either...
Not 100% whats happening there...

Next time before you put it in park, Pull the shifter to first and then to park and see if it goes any easier...
see what a good reputable shop has to say on it...

thanks for the info going to take it out and take the trans to a shop is there eney way to beff the trans up dont wont to have to do this again for a long time
