Transmission removal 1994 ssei
Hey guys, I got the engine and tranny off of the cradle, and started removing bolts from the tranny. I got the big bolts that go along the top and one that mounts the starter. What else am I missing? I also got the bolt where the power steering bracket hooks to the tranny too, I'm just not seeing any other big bolts that are preventing me from removing the transmission.
Thanks guys!

could you explain a little more? I'm not seeing how to get to those bolts. I've been reading and I also heard about a bolt that you need like 3-4' of extensions to get to it.
edit: I guess I'm just very curious where I will be able to get access to the flywheel and what is holding that starter there. I removed the big bolt that had the female star pattern.

There are two plastic pieces that cover the lower part of the bellhousing. Those come off. You can then access the torque converter bolts...one at a time. You will have to rotate the crankshaft after you remove one, until you remove all three.

Got a pictorial from my performance thread. Hope it helps..
First up..I put the engine in the engine bay and went to put in the backwards bolt. Anyone that'* ever pulled the motor knows all about finding this little gem. The painted engine and the non painted transmission with the light placed in the A arm for vision...OMG the perfect shot. Here'* a little progression for anyone ever wanting to see it'* location.
First pic..look right of the strut and between the wheel well bottom edge and the rotor.
And here it is..up close and very personal.
Next up..Oil pan and oil filter adapter...hence the first part to modify for my application.
The oil pan fits beautifully as expected
Keep in mind..that is an engine to transmission bolt. It is located on the driverside...but only accessible from the passenger side.

I'm going to assume that'* a 15? and you also recommend using a 1/2" ratchet and extensions? Thanks for all the help guys, I see the light at the end of the tunnel now
I hate to make 40 minute trips to town for parts that I forgot to get :(

18mm Use a deep socket for removal and shallow for install
There is an oil pressure sender and trans to engine bracket in the way of you seeing that bolt if not already removed from the passenger wheel well area.
I use a 3/8 ratchet with a long handle.

BTW.. there'* only one thing left, I can think of to mention. The bolt is the same as 3 of the trans bolts. The odd bolt out is for your most front engine to trans connection and goes through the trans mount.
