I love this site because you guys always bring up car problems that only Bonneville owners can relate to. How many other cars have the kind of seat controls we do. Anyway I need some help w my my seats. The controls are in the middle console and everything works except my lumbar/massage adjustments. They dont work on either seat but they used to. What does it sound like is the prob?

I'm just about sure that the buttons work. It'* probally that box. Is there 1 box for for lumbar and a separate for movement of the chair?

If the lumbar bladder controls don't do anything on either seat, make sure that the connector under the PASSENGER seat is connected ok.
On the '92 and '93 (and maybe other years) the motor that fills the air bladders is under the front passenger seat.

Just to clarify:
The lumbar and side-bolsters are operated with an air pump and bladders, while the movement of the seat uses motors. I would check the connections at the air pump, and try to test the air pump.

ok. I just pushed the lumbar buttons while placing my hand on that unit under the passenger seat. I hear it click evey time I hit a lumbar button for the passenger side. So this means the buttons up top are good, right? Next step please.
