Default 97 headlights removal

I tried lookin at previous threads but I'm having trouble removing my headlights so I can get the new piaa and silverstars in. Messing around for 1/2 hour and it got me nowhere, since there still was a bolt in the bottom thats not easy to reach. I dont have the service manual either..

So whats the fastest way to get these things off? pics would be great too

thnx

I'm not sure if the SE is the same as the SSEi but if so...

There are 2 10MM holding the entire bracket assembly to the radiator support, these are located at the inboard end of the bracket facing forward.

Remove the 2 10MM bolts, pull the inboard end out about 1/2" and then slide the whole assembly out sideways past the fender. There are 2 pins on the outboard which do not get removed, these are the ones you release by sliding the assembly sideways.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Exactly! Those are the bolts you want.

No one will ever know why they went from a simple thumb screw setup to this crazy design.
