An Olds 88 MUST be an LSS for it to have the proper trans. Ask for the gear ratio when you call, it should be 2.97. Anything else is wrong.
Lean towards the Olds and Buick transmissions over Pontiac. It'* about demographics. Younger pedal-mashers lean towards Pontiac. Older 'relaxed' folks go Olds or Buick. But make sure the part interchange crosses over on car-part before making your choice.

harofreak in Eagle Lake/Mankato area has one in his 94 SSEi he is parting out. I believe it'* good -the motor went bad and is why the car is being parted out.
