Power steering loud when cold?
I noticed in the '96 when it is really cold out and I just start it up, the power steering is quite loud. Even noisier when you turn the wheel when it'* cold. It still works fine and it quiets up once it is warm. Potential problem here or is this what Canadian cold does?

Several options:
1. Accessory tensioner is weak.
2. Belt is ****.
3. Pump is failing.
4. Rack is failing.
Belts are easier and should be replaced if you don't know how old they are.
Tensioner is probably next. That just solved the same problem for me last weekend on the SSEi.
Pump and rack are more remote possibilities on a 96.
Anyone know the torque spec (resistance) for the S2 accessory tensioner?
This can be checked with a torque wrench to see if it'* working right.
