Default Power steering?

I think my power steering is going out or is running low on fluids. I was sittin at the drive thru at McDonald'* and when I went to turn left I noticed it was harder to turn my wheel. When I pulled out of there and went to turn it it got easier but was still hard when I was braking through the turn. Does anybody know where the power steering pump is located on these cars. Glanced at the engine bay real quick but didnt see anything. I have a '98 SLE.
