Bill,
The only thing which makes me think it may not be wind-related is the fact that the noise doesnt happen until after 30 mins or so of driving.
Thanks,
John

Ok..so on that theory. The heating up of a wheel bearing may hold.
How about test. Let the car idle sitting still then take it for a run. Does the sound happen sooner. This would tell us if it'* engine related or not.

OK...I will try that test. I will also jack it up and try to check the bearings that way.
But the fact that turning doesnt seem to affect the noise, along with the fact that it remains constant when accelerating through the 40'* into the 60'* makes me wonder about the wheel bearing theory. I would think that the pitch or volume of the noise would change.
Still thinking...? I guess anything to do with the brake rotors would be similar to the bearing scenario??
Thanks,
John

Right.. which leads us back to body whistling. But the time thing doesn't make sense for that.
John...I think you are trying to drive me more nuts than my car.

It'* not on purpose Bill! I'm just trying to get advice from the people who know the best.
I mean when I raised the question about windshield moulding, I was surprised to see how many people here had the exact same issue. SO I was thinking maybe others had the same problem as with this wheel.
I will also try to drive in the left lane, so I can hear the echo off the median wall.
Thanks,
John
