"Right Side" vs. "Left Side" of Engine
1993 Bonneville SLE vin L. Is the "right" side as described in parts catalogs the engine side closest to the radiator? For example, is the "right side" valve cover the one with the oil fill hole?
Maybe a dumb question but I grew up before transverse mounted engines.....
Thanks

When referrring to a car, the right side is the car'* right as you sit in it. Therefore right = passenger side. If you were to typically talk about a motor'* right/left, you'd think of it in a longitudinal aspect and the right side would be the backside of a transverse engine.

Since I'm still a little dense regarding this explanation, if I'm ordering a new valve cover with the oil fill hole I need to order whats considered the left side valve cover, correct?
Thanks again....
