My Bonnie quit running...left me stranded :(
I was driving on I-5 going to Medford Oregon and when I got to the top of a hill I lost all power in the engine. I coasted to an interchange and got it off the highway and it was barely running. I had to keep my foot on the gas to keep it running but it had no power whatsoever to get me anywhere. I called the towing company and they got my car back to Yreka to my house and thankfully my car insurance company is going to pay the towing bill. So could it be the computer or the fuel pump?? Any sensors or relays that go bad? Anyone have any similar problems? I already changed the fuel pump relay over the winter because that went bad.

Did it sound like it was running out of time? When my crank sensor went bad, the car ran out of time and ran similar to what you're describing. Actually, my sensor didn't go bad, but something got in behind the harmonic balancer and bent some of the vanes that the sensor senses. See if you can get the car scanned and tell us what codes you find. Fuel pump and filter are possibilities too. Might want to check fuel pressure.

Well today I went out and bought a fuel presure test gauge and it only had less than 10 lbs on the fuel rail. I also bought a fuel filter and changed that and while I had the filter loose I decided I was going to turn the car on and see if gas was coming out the line behind the filter and nothing!!!! Not a drop of gas at all. SO I went to all the auto parts stores in Yreka to get a pump and none of them could get any until Tuesday :( But I did get the tank pulled out from under the car and the old pump removed. Now I just have to wait until Tuesday.

Bad news and then good news!! Napa gave me the wrong pump on Tuesday so I couldnt get it in then and they said they had the right one for my car in Sacramento and it would be here on Wednesday and it came in. After work I went to pick it up, and it was the right one. I got home and 1:20 hr later my car was running!!! Music to my ears!!!

Excellent work. Keep it running. I want to see it. I'll be down your way possibly sometime in June.
NAPA is usually VERY good about getting parts overnight. Even from the east coast.
