Default my baby is clicking...

hi all, i know its been a while.....i've moved to another location and didn't have the net for a while...but yeah, i'm back up now and u should see me around...

with that said i've been having an issue with my car. I noticed it one night while driving around philly....usually from a stop {or in first gear} when you put a quick load on the car, and then stop accelerating {or quickly tap the gas while in a gear (as you would to rev the engine if u were in park)} after you take your foot off the gas you'll hear a click sound. I let my dad hear it and he said it could either be electical {like spark plugs} or metallic {anything}....so any ideas what could be making that sound?

thanks

I see you have a 92... Check the pcv. I'm thinking if it'* mechanical it'* crankcase pressure.

Default coil pack

did you try replacing the coil pack? I was having the same problem. Check under the hood, in the left hand side, do you see any arching where the clicking sound is?

i'll have to check both of those out today. Its not consistent, so its hard to tell when & what may be causing it....i doubt its the compressor, cuz i haven't run the A/C lately with gas like it is....plus its been nice out

but yeah. i'll check those out today and keep you posted

maybe you got some slack in your drive train. i would start with checking your motor and tranny mounts, maybe even looking at the cv shafts. do you hear any thing when you turn? like a cv joint making noise?

i don't hear any noises when i turn, but there is a terrible clanking of metal when I hit a bump, i know something is loose in my suspension, but the other sound is def coming from the engine. Next chance i get i'm gonna put the car in drive with the E-brake on while pressin the gas and have someone look at the engine and see if any sparks are flying {if i can get it to "click"}

Check your swaybar endlinks for play/looseness for the suspension noise.

Highly unlikely....but could be ball joints too. But I'm gonna call a weaking/bad trans mount on this one.
