Default just my luck.

well.... heres MY story now.. NOT UIM but... was in the drive thru at cluvers last night, and was pulled ahead waiting (like always at one of those...) and i had been hearing what sounded like a lifter noise or arod noise..so i turned down the radio a lil.. and listened to it.. well it went quiet and i didnt think anything of it... then it got REAL LOUD and i saw a small amount of smoke come out from under the hood... could hardly turn the wheel, lost alt. lost AC... so i knew it was a belt/pully based problem so since i couldnt turn the wheel hardly i knew my 7mo. pregnant gf couldnt do it as i pushed... so i said hell w/ it and started it back up... wow that was a nasty rattling noise.... got it around the corner barly and into a parking spot.... temp jumped way up in the process of this.. immeaditaly shut it down and called dad to tell him it died.. so i get out there this morning just b4 the wrecker shows up.. pop the hood and start it up again real quick... no belt movement what so ever... so im thinking the water pump locked up... and hoping i didnt do MORE damage by moving it under its own power and by starting it like i did... and if i DID damage it more.. well this could be the reason i need to get back into a truck...... any thoughts?

The belt is still on but not turning at all. Right?

You need to pull the belt and find out which pulley it melted onto. That pulley probably won't move.

Get the belt off (cut if necessary) and start it up for just a moment, remembering you have no waterpump turning. If all sounds good then check to make sure all the other pulleys turn freely.

Change the bad part, get a new belt and enjoy.

Damn.... That'* not good.

But, on a happier note, that'* not a bad price for all that work! See how much extra they'd charge you to replace the lower intake manifold gaskets. Parts should be about $35 for a set of Felpros and the labor shouldn't be more than an hour. I'd suggest getting them done.

Actually, that bypass is a 90 degree elbow. It goes between the tensioner and the LIM. It has to be removed to get the LIM off. It'* $7 from the dealer for a new one.

Yup. Totally different on the Series 2. Series I L67 and Series I L27 are a straight fitting in the LIM, Series 2 L36 and L67 are the elbow. Issues on each, different parts.
