Default Looking to drop a new engine into a 95 Bonnie.

Would there be any recommendations on where I could buy a new or rebuilt engine at? Also, what kind of engine would be recommended? The stock one that my room mate blew out was the 3.8l K that wasn't supercharged. In all his genus he put duct tape on the radiator to fix a leak while making a trip from Tulsa, Ok to College Station, Tx. Well, the head gasket definitely blew and I picked it up for $100. However, I don't want to risk rebuilding that engine with how many times it was overheated, how poorly it was treated and would just like to drop a new one in it.

So, any suggestions?

I should possibly add that I want something with a bit of 'Umph" behind it without it totally draining my bank account with gas mileage. Nothing over $2500 however.

Default engine

I did an engine in my wife'* 97

Got one from Cherry Auto Parts.com with 40 thousand miles on it. It was pretty much complete, saving quite a bit of work. Runs beautiful. I think it was about 1100

There are many places to buy.

www.car-part.com is a good one to try as it will list area and states to find used parts. There are also many new/reman sources of parts like Napa'* Jasper engines.
